C for Clawdeen's family

This is gonna be a long review here as the Wolf family is the biggest of MH. Hudge Wolf family is consistant with the character thought and is my favorite thing about this character. I have to say Clawdeen is one of the doll I like the less in the franchise. She is just a regular doll with dog ears and claws for me... Her reboot doll is, I find, more interesting, as she has molded hair on her feets and arms. Sadly I didn't keep any reboot doll so I can't show you the differences. Her basic doll doesn't feel enought Monster for me. But the fact she has such a hudge family is very cool and makes me think of the movie Hotel Transylvania.

In the dolls family we have, Clawdia the big sis, Clawd, the big bro, Howleen, Barker, Pawla and the twins, Weredith and Packlyn. So yes a lot of "claws" at the begining... An happy change with the reboot too. The members of her family are slightly different in the books and movies. I couldn't get Packlyn as most of the MH family pack didn't came here in europe and import was quite risky and prohibitive. I had to pay twice the price to get very wonky dolls...

Clawdeen is very sportive, like all her family, but also a fashion victim. She usually wears gold jewels, like her whole family, animal printed clothes and moon, bones or spiky accessories. Her main colour theme is purple but she also wears black, neon green, yellow and sometimes indigo blue.

She is 16 and was born the 30th of april. She was one of the first wave dolls, released since 2010. Her BFF are Franckie and Draculaura, making her one of the main character in the show and one of the most released dolls. Before reboot we have 39 dolls : Basic 1, Dawn of the dance, Gloom Beach, Basic 2, Sweet sixteen, Basic 3, Dead tired, Ghouls rule, Skull shores, Scary tales, Killer style, Scaris, Ghouls Alive, Roller Maze, Power Ghouls, 13 wishes, Music Festival, Ghoul's Night Out, I love Fashion, Black Carpet, New scaremester, Ghouls sport, Freacky fusion, Swim line, A pack of trouble, Freacky field trip, Haunted, Boo Yorck, Mauwl Monsterista, Scare and Makeup, Freack du Chic, Eco, Sleep over, Great Scarrier reef and Fierce rockers + 2 playsets (dead tired and coffin bean) and maybe 3 fashion packs.

After reboot we have 12 dolls : How do you Boo, Budget cheerleader, Welcome to MH, Ice cream, Emoji, Family, Electrified, One team one scream, First Day of school, Shriekwrecked, Transforming ghouls, Ghostly thea party, budget swimming and a fashion pack.

So she had more than 50 versions of her doll plus fashion packs, that's a lot !

I think it's the character that has the most variations in her character. For example Dawn of the dance has only short neon green hair, instead of her usual long curvy mane. Several versions have only purple hair and Freack clawdeen has a purple skin. Great scarrier even has a blue skin and fierce rocker blue hair. Other characters don't get so obvious skin coulors changes, neither so many hair variations. But as a collector, I love those variations. On such a released character, it provides from boredom...

Here we have 13 wishes clawdeen in scary tales outfit and New scaremester in scare and makeup dress. I also have Clawenus but we'll look at her later, with Venus, as it is already quite a long review.

Her pet is, quite surprisingly, a cat named crescent. He was released with her basic version and Freack du chic. The basic version in deep purple whereas the Freack one is grey with a purple fur.

Scary tales is a very detailled doll. I don't have all her accessories thought. But look at those tiny paws under her shoes ! And the little bones in her outfit just had me. There is tulla under her dress to keep it puffy. And under her cloack there are printed on glitter leopard pattern. It's her only red outfit but this can be explained by the fact that the whole line is inspired by fary tales and in this case, red little hood.

Howleen is Clawdeen's little sis, she is 14 and was born the 21st of december. Her pet is an hedgehog named cushion. In his basic version he is pink but in reboot he became blue. She was first released in 2011/2012. Her BFFs are Abbey and Twyla. In the comics she is quite an annoying character, inpersonning the perfect little sis. She often seems to steal her sisters fashions and so her dolls sometimes reuses her older sis accessories, witch I find is a cute touch really fitting her character. That said, she has quite a weird sens of fashion...

Here is 13 wishes Howleen. She has a smaller body but all articulated as well. I gave her an additional necklace and changed her bag for a Bratz backpack that I thought fitted better. As the others members of the family she has the claws hands and wolf ears. One of her ears is bended, her reboot doll kept that sign.

Before reboot she had 7 versions of her doll : basic, Dance Class, 13 wishes, Creepateria, A pack of trouble, Geek Shriek and Ghouls fair.

I think she only had one version after reboot, with her pet. Sadly her reboot doll is less articulated and on a smaller body, like Frankie's sister. She looks way younger in her reboot version. For me, she is so different, she could be another Wolf sis. I hope Mattel had choosen that version. 

Clawdia is one of the dolls made on big sis bodys. This is Fright Camera Action Clawdia. I got her naked so I gave her a whole new outift in her usual coulors that are red and gold. She also came in a pack of trouble, as the other older members of the family but wasn't rebooted. 

She is 19 years old, was born the 13th of ferbruary and first released in 2013.

She studies abroad, in Londoom, but is a very family kind of person. We don't know much about her.

As the other wolves she has dog ears and claws hands. But instead if the little teeth painted on her lips she has a wide open mouth. I think she is the only doll with this mouth sculpt. She still has Big canines.

Pawla had two releases in 2017. She is a reboot character so we don't have much of a story about her.

She came with no shoes, as the whole theme of the Wolf family line appears to be bedtime. I couldn't find any that fit but could change her pijamas for an Hairdorable dress and give her a Sylvanian purse with a Bratz bracelet. Those hands and feets sculpts, with the tails, make them very hard to redress ! I hope they came with a nicer outfit than pijamas...

Reboot hair is a cheaper quality but look at those cute little bones in her pigtails !

She has the same body mold as Barker but reversed. I love the knee detail.

Barker only had one release in 2017. 

I like the fact that all the members of the family has different fur coulors. 

Packlyn has the same body sculpt as weredith but is darker and has pink hair with a blue bow on her head. They only came with printed on diaper and top. Packlyn was released only once wherease Weredith twice.

The dolls of family line only have the 5 points of articulation, plus the tail for the baby Wolf.

They all have a big fury and articulated tail.

And little hearted paws!

Clawd is 17 and was first launched in 2011. He has a gargoyle bulldog pet named Rockseena that only came with is signature doll. He had 5 releases : basic, Sweet sixteen, Music festival, A pack of trouble and Scarnival. No reboot.

He is Draculaura's boyfriend and the captain of the football team.

This is basic Clawd's head on Pack of trouble's body, beacause basic hadn't articulated hands and I love the posture of pack of trouble's hands, but rather is original face.

His first wave outift is very detailed and each piece is spare, witch is always a better option for collectors.

He has a flocked hair and beard with a Mowhawk of short curly hair. The flocking didn't last so well on my doll...

And as all the Wolf, dog hears, claw hands and teeth. He has one golden earing.

Those awsome golden boots also have scratched sole, that look like he has done his claws on it.
